Abstract

Review and analysis of verbal thought prevailing over syntactic principles are important phenomena in Arabic Linguistics; a thought which as a general principle dominating syntactic science seems trivial comparing to that general issue. From a long time ago, a syntactic science which grasps the structure of Arabic language has occupied the mind of old and contemporary linguists of this field of thought; a science which seems essential for logical understanding of Arabic language structure. Among the fourfold syntactic principles, review and analysis of this verbal thought regarding the issue of “audition”, which is another evidence of syntactic principles such as “analogy” and “consensus”, persuades us to carry out this study. The study focuses on the viewpoint of two old and contemporary linguists and scholars of syntactic principles named al-Suyuti from the ninth century and Tammam Hassan of the contemporary time. Having a descriptive-analytical approach, existing resources and lingual data were reviewed. The results show that regarding the audition’s evidence and one of its resources which is the issue of citing Quranic readings to regularize syntactic rules, al-Suyuti of the ninth century, considering his religious concern, accepts citing all kinds of readings by considering “اﻟﻘﺮاءه ﺳُﻨﺔٌ ﻣُﺘَّﺒَﻌَﺔٌ ولا تُخالَف” but Tammam Hassan accepts citing readings by considering the condition of “مستندهٌ بالأسانید المعتبره””. On the issue of citing the Prophet’s hadiths, al-Suyuti accepts the views of al-Shatibi which are conditioned but Tammam Hassan believes that citing hadiths quoted by meaning is acceptable for regularizing syntactic rules because they

Abstract

Spiromesifen is one of the most popular insecticides used for the chemical control of several insect in many vegetable crops, but its residues may remain in the crops. Residues were extracted using ethyl acetate from tomato and cabbage. Samples were cleaned using graphitized carbon black, primary secondary amine, and magnesium sulfate. At 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, and 0.50 mg kg-1, the recovery percentage were 83.00–94.67% in tomato and 81.33–92.00% in cabbage head. The half-lives of spiromesifen in tomato and cabbage heads were 2.37 and 3.79 days, respectively. Dietary exposures of the residues were less than maximum permissible intake of 0.48 mg person-1 d-1 on all the sampling days for rural as well as urban. The average matrix effect was less than 20%. Spiromesifen used to control psyllid, aphid and whiteflies in tomato and cabbage. There could be a health risk if its residue stays in the crop. Thus, the validated method was used to study the analysis of spiromesifen residue, its dissipation rate, and safety evaluations in tomato and cabbage. Different household processes were evaluated for removal of the incurred spiromesifen residue in tomato and cabbage. Washing with boiling water could be used as a most effective decontamination strategy for spiromesifen in tomato and cabbage.

Abstract

Some bacteria can survive in conditions in which even extremophiles cannot survive. In this study, the conditions of contamination of mine-waste extremophiles with other bacteria was studied on the laboratory scale. At the first step, the acid-producing extremophile bacteria were isolated from mine tailings and characterized using a biochemical protocol. The extremophiles survived at the pH from 0 to 8.5 and temperature from 70 °C to 90 °C. After the complete growth and isolation of active colonies of the acidophilic bacteria in solid medium, their pollution possibility were examined in the laboratory. The characterization of contaminating microorganisms was performed through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and 16s rRNA gene sequencing. The polluting bacteria were isolated from the acid-producing bacteria using a nutrient broth liquid medium in a sterilized condition for 1 week, which reached an anaerobic condition after a while. The significant growth of acidophilic bacteria in an anaerobic condition required the 9K medium containing Fe2(SO4)3 and elemental sulphur. The results showed that the contaminating bacteria of extremophiles included Bacillus cereus (strain 1), Bacillus sp. (TS3) and Bacillus oryzaecorticis (WJB138), enduring the anaerobic conditions in a nutrient broth medium.

Abstract

Background: Age-related differences in the ethoxyresorufin O-deethylase (EROD) activity of CYP1A1 and its inducibility in rats may determine the toxic potential of acetaminophen.  This study was carried out to compare the effects of acetaminophen (APAP) and β-naphthoflavone (βNF) on CYP1A1 activity in young and adult rats. Methods: For this purpose, young and adult rats (n = four / group) were treated with different doses of APAP. Likewise groups of young and adult rats were treated with a single dose of β-naphthoflavone (βNF, 67 mg / kg b.w). EROD was measured in microsomal fraction using resorufin as the substrate. Results:The results showed that a single i. p. injection of APAP (25 mg / kg B.W.) failed to alter liver microsomal EROD in young and adults. Whereas, in adults treated with 250 and 450 mg APAP / kg B.W, liver CYP1A1 was elevated to about 45 and 60% respectively. The rate of CYP1A1 induction in young rats with single dose of APAP (450 mg/kg B.W) was approximately 32%. Induction in CYP1A1 was noticed 4 h after APAP injection and returned to normal levels in 24 h. The inducibility of CYP1A1 in rats treated with a toxic dose of APAP was comparable to the data obtained from animals treated βNF, 67 mg / kg b.w. Conclusion: These results together with our previous reports indicate a similar pattern of changes in CYP1A1 in both the age-groups treated with toxic doses of APAP may suggest that the inducible CYP1A1 can equally contribute to protection against liver damage in young and adult rats.

Abstract

Background: Accumulation of triglycerides in the liver i.e. steatosis, is a well-known side-effect of tamoxifen administration to patients suffering from breast cancer. Cichoriumintybus (chicory) is a plant used as traditional medicine for curing liver disorders. In this study, the effects of extract prepared from chicory roots on tamoxifen-induced liver steatosis and related biochemical factors in animal model using rats has been investigated. Methods: Female rats of Wistar strain were divided into four groups and treated as follows; 1-Control: received vehicle; 2- Chicory root-extract treated: rats were given by gavage the aqueous chicory root extract (1 g/kg body weight/day for 14 days).3- Tamoxifen-treated: rats received tamoxifen (1 mg/kg body weight/day, for 7 days). 4- Tamoxifen+chicory-group: animals received tamoxifen (1 mg/kg body weight/day for 7 days) followed by chicory extract given by gavage (1 g/kg body weight/day for 14 days). After treatment, blood was collected by cardiac puncher, plasma was separated and plasma levels of glucose, total protein, triglyceride, cholesterol,LDL-C, HDL-C and activities of ALT, AST and ALP were measured. Liver tissues were homogenized used for measuring tissue triglyceride and histological examinations. Results: The data show that tamoxifen treatment caused a significant decrease in the level of serum cholesterol, HDL-C and total protein. However, serum ALT level was increased in tamoxifen-treated rats compared to controls. Increased serum ALT in tamoxifen-treated rats was recovered in rats treated with plant extract (tamoxifen+chicory-group). HDL-C and total protein levels were unaffected in rats fed chicory extracts. Tamaxifen-treated animals showed signs of liver steatosis as shown by histological examination and accumulation liver triglyceride. The steatosis markers such as accumulated triglyceride in liver was significantly reduced due to the plant extract treatments when compared to tamoxifen-group. Conclusions: Dietary extract prepared from chicory roots is effective in modulation of  tamoxifen-induced liver damage and steatosis.

Abstract

In the history of world's literature, there have always been authors who see literary works as a place to express human’s position in the society and try to describe man in relation to the nature and the world surrounding him and warn him of the perils this world may bring to him.Today's world is a world of unrest, tension and identity loss due to rapid technological changes and ideological instabilities. With machines overwhelming human life and his conformity to the cold tune of today's world, a distance has emerged between man on one hand and morality and spirituality on the other, and this has led him gradually to a severe critical atmosphere. Some creators of literary works have tried to show this reality in their works. They have employed creative literary techniques to show an intensified view of human position in relation to the current world in order to refer man to his inner nature and notify him of the peril and distress governing the society. Kafka, Ionesco and Saramago are among those writers who are mindful of the crisis man is experiencing in his modern and postmodern life and have reflected the situation in their works, the Metamorphosis, Rhinoceros, and Blindness, respectively. In this article we have used the intertextual approach to analyse these three works based on their structure and theme and have remarked their semiological relationship.

Abstract

Background: L-lysine is essential amino acid for human and animal nutrition. L-lysine is useful as medicament, chemical agent, food material (food industry) and feed additive (animal food). The industrial production of lysine has become an economically important industrial process. Several hundred thousands tones of L-lysine are produced annually worldwide, almost exclusively using Corynebacterium glutamicum. Study methods: To amplify LysA gene from C.glutamicum, two primers with NheI and HindIII restriction sites were designed. PCR was performed and PCR product was ligated with pTZ57R/T. Recombinant plasmid sequence was determined. LysA with sticky end was ligated with digested pET28a vector and ligation mixture was transformed in E.coli BL21(DE3). The recombinant plasmid was isolated with enzymatic digestion and sequencing. Results: LysA gene, a fragment with 1.3 kb, was cloned. PCR products and enzymatic digestion of extracted vectors with HindIII and NheI, sequencing and SDS-PAGE confirmed the authenticity of cloning. Recombinant bacterial colonies were investigated and confirmed by two methods (PCR and enzymatic digestion). Conclusion: In this study for the first time, the expression rate of Meso- diaminopimelate decarboxylase enzyme (EC 4.1.1.20) in this expression vector was investigated and was increased significantly.

Abstract

Epic is the oldest type of literary that its form is similar to story, because epic, like a story, has three parts: beginning part, middle part & ending part. Epic is descended from myth. It also encompasses story and novel inside. This paper tries to achieve better understanding about a part of epical literature, which reflects on epical tents and enjoys narrative features and symbol language. Description and specification of narrative structure of pictorial and basically language epic through Mick Ball’s theory is the purpose of this writing. Rostam and Esfandiyar story is chosen because this paper tries to show features of narrative tents in literary form. Then these features are studied based on Mick Ball’s, theory to show Ferdosy’s, s tendency toward story waiting elements & structure of narrative tents. This paper shows that epical story (both pictorial and basically language) like other types of basically language stories, has story line (beginning, story progression toward Elman, problem solving and final result).

Abstract

Vitamin D is one of the essential metabolic and physiological processes in the human body. Generally all people need 200-600 IU daily (Koutkia, Chen & Holick 2001). Production of vitamin D in the skin depends on some factors such as age, skin pigmentation and the amount of ultraviolet B (UVB)) available. The amount of UVB radiation is affected by geographic location, season, time and level of atmospheric pollution. The highest amount of vitamin D is provided to sunlight exposure (Gartner & Greer 2003) as well as obtaining from oily fish, fortified foods and supplement. The recommended vitamin D receiving depends on age, gender and deficiency treatment (Dobnig et al 2008).
Despite excessive oral vitamin D intake cause toxicity (Koutkia, Chen & Holick 2001), excessive sunlight exposure cannot cause vitamin D toxicity because UVB converts excess vitamin D3 to biologically inert isomers (Holick 2007).
Different factors like physical inactivity, chronic acidosis, malnutrition, delayed puberty and mal-absorption effect on bone mineralized (De Schepper 1990).
Parathyroid hormone (PTH) compensate for reduced serum calcium with calcium absorption from the bones, causing bone deformities and that this action has been done through activating osteoclasts inhabit. Excessive activate osteoclasts inhabit can lead to osteoporosis and increased PTH and serum calcium or metastatic calcification (Holick 2007).
Severe vitamin D deficiency with corresponding elevations of PTH were reported in 88% of women who presented with muscle pains and weakness. Myalgia is generally the first manifestation of vitamin D deficiency(Glerup et al 2000). Vitamin D deficiency affects in all parts of the body (Gartner & Greer 2003).
The high prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in patients with unspecified origin musculoskeletal pain was observed in the existed evidence (Gartner & Greer 2003). These studies represent there is significant relationship between unspecific pain and vitamin D deficiency that this relationship is independent of age group (Gartner & Greer 2003).
There is a strong relationship between vitamin D deficiency and persistent non-specific musculoskeletal pain. Therefore, the patients who suffering from unknown origin pain may be required to control their serum levels of vitamin D consequent to vitamin D therapy (Mascarenhas & Mobarhan 2004).
Studies have also shown that vitamin D therapy could improves extensive clinical complains regarding their bone pain and muscle weakness of women who referred to different clinics (Torrente de La Jara, Pecoud & Favrat 2004).

Abstract

Background : Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is an autoimmune disease characterized by selective destruction of pancreatic beta cells.   Methods: The study included 80 children, 20 of them have T1DM, 40 children were selected from first degree relatives to the same child and 20 healthy children serve as control. Body mass index (BMI) was calculated, random blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (GHbA1c) were measured. The following biochemical markers were measured in sera of all subjects by ELISA kits: Human insulin ,C-peptide, human islet cell antibody (ICA), insulin auto antibodies (IAA) and antiglutamic acid decarboxylase (anti-GAD) antibodies. Results : This study showed that diabetic children had high level of ICA (65%), IAA (55%), anti-GAD antibodies (50%) and decrease in C-peptide (60%). Whereas the relatives showed high level of anti-GAD antibodies (30%), IAA(25%), ICA(2.5) and decrease in C-peptide (30%). Anti-GAD antibodies were significantly higher among the relatives of the diabetics compared to the healthy controls. Conclusions : The strongest predictors of diabetes were C- peptide and islets cell antibodies, which had odd ratio 4.7 and 3.1, respectively. Autoantibodies could distinguish T1DM patients from healthy control subjects and they may also identify individuals at high risk during progression from pre-diabetes to overt disease.

Abstract

The title of the story is the threshold to the mysterious world of the text. Thus it must be selected artistically to show the quality of the text, despite its quantity and restrictions. Sometimes, the title sheds light on the world of the text and lights the text`s whole material, but sometimes, it hides the text and the reader does not resieve any sign of it. It makes a tension in the mind of the reader to draw him/her to the text, and makes him/her to arrange his/her disturbed mind by reading the text and finding the meaning of it. This research is aims to investing ate the most important textual and extra textual factors, which are efficient in choosing the title of Sadeq Hedayat and Zakaria Tamer`s works, and study the structure and context of the titles and their relation with intra-textual and extra-textual factors that are used to hide the meaning of the text. have several res sons. Attracting the reader and closed political conditions (extra-textual factors) are the main reasons. These titles show the familiarity of the two writers with rhetorical devices. Also they are the reflection of the difficulties and hard conditions of the people`s life and the writer`s current cultures.

Abstract

Sohrab Sepehri and Abbas Kiarostami are artists who could express their thought in the form of another language using the myths and symbols.  The most important considerations in their works are neutral symbols. In this paper, the authors tried to review the symbolic nature using comparative approach and Gaston Bachelard's theory. We analyzed Hasht Keteb and Kiarostami's movies, and found that the mythical structure and contents briefly express differences and commonalities in their works. The most applicant natural symbols widely used in these works consist water, air, soil and plants. The results of our study showed that Water and soil, in various forms, involve a dual role in poetry and cinema: both as a symbol of death and resurrection, and creation. Wind is the symbol of divine origin and evolution. Also it indicates the death and destruction. Plant is the symbol of cosmic tree. Symbolic imagery and mythical nature, in Kiarostami's films and Sepehri's poems, can affect the poetic spirit of two artists, which is result of thier familiarity with Eastern mysticism and also for being influenced by painting and photography skills.

Abstract

Narrative semio-semantics is based on two principles: action and change. In this system, all actors often move logical and planned until achieve the favorite and permanent sense. It seems that in the texture of myth and epic fictions, dominant discourse is logical and narrative. In this research, we study the fiction of Rostam and Esfandyar of Ferdowsi’s Shahname based on semio-semantics theory in order to show that discursive components likewise narrative signs, have also effect to assign meaning to the fiction; because the enter of Simourgh to the fiction transforms normal narration and causes this study to go beyond narrative semio-semantics and get closer to discursive semio-semantics. The result of this study showed that in ideological discourse of Shahnameh, Rostam, as unconquerable Iranian hero, is located in the central thought. Events never occur in a way that damage authority of Rostam in the context of Shahnameh. Thus all signs lead to victory of Rostam in all championships in the fiction according to the narrator.

A 9-week feeding trial was conducted to determine the effect of dietary vitamin E levels (0, 100, 200 and 1000 mg kg diet) on the growth performance and hematological indices in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fingerlings (initial weight of 2.1 ± 0.1). Results indicated significant effect (p<0.05) of vitamin E levels on the fish growth performance. In terms of hematological indicators, vitamin E levels significantly affected the hematocrit, hemoglobin, red blood cell (RBC) count, monocyte and eosinophil in rainbow trout. However, it did not change MCHC, lymphocyte and MCH values.

Abstract

Ferdowsi's Shahnameh has always been interest of readers, and many authors have tried to imitate it. Like other Iranian orators, the Kurd poets have recreated different stories of Shahnameh with innovations and sometimes translations. No doubt, the introduction and thinking of the epic verses after Shahnameh can expose some of the important issues of this valuable work and be effective on the morale of unity and patriotism among Iranian ethnic groups; therefore, in this study, we first introduced the verse of "Kordish Shahmghal and Rostam" and then compared it with the narration of " Shahnameh's Rostam and Shaghad", Salby's historical narratives, Toomar Naghali Shahnameh, Haft Lashkar, and Ferdowsinameh.

Abstract:

In this article we compare two epic Heroes from two different environments, Rustam from the Iranian epic literature and Kocholin from the Irish Dramatic Literature.  A comparative study of those two heroes allowed us to evaluate and assess the theatrical and narrative possibility and capability of Ferdowsi’s Rustam and Sohrab story.  When taking into consideration and comparing the action of Rustam and Kocholin, the importance of our study becomes comprehensible since both of them ended up killing their own son.
In this study, the decisions, undertakings and actions of the two heroes from the beginning till the end of their stories was compared thoroughly and we showed that between those two epics many similarities exist, which indicate that the stories might have a common source.
