Abstract

Despite the common consensus that Dariush Shahin’s translation of Nahj-al-Balaqe is one of the first contemporary translations, it has been less welcomed by researchers. Based upon a descriptive-analytic method, a contrastive approach, and Antoine Berman’s deforming tendencies, the current research endeavours to investigate the frequency and the rationale of deforming tendencies in the translated version of Imam Ali’s letter to Imam Hasan. The study revealed that Shahin’s translation involves seven deforming tendencies that has significantly changed the meanings of the original text: Rationalization, Clarification, Expansion, Qualitative impoverishment, Quantitative impoverishment, Destruction of rhythms, and Destruction of linguistic patternings.

Abstract

Endoglucanase Cel9A from Alicyclobacillus acidocaldarius (AaCel9A), a thermophile enzyme, randomly breaks β1-4 glycosidic bond between glucose units in cellulose polymer and produces oligosaccharides with reducing end. In this study, first of all, E.coli BL21 cells were transformed by pDEST17 carrying AaCel9A enzyme gene for expression of the recombinant enzyme. After expression, the recombinant enzyme was purified by Ni-NTA affinity chromatography column and the purity of the recombinant protein was analyzed by SDS-PAGE. Due to impact of the calcium, pH and temperature on AaCel9A activity, the effects of these parameters were investigated on AaCel9A activity to optimize activity condition by using Response surface methodology. The SDS-PAGE result showed that AaCel9A, with molecular weight of 59 kDa, was expressed and purified. Response surface methodology data reveal that the effect of pH on the activity of the enzyme is higher than temperature and the calcium effect is less than temperature. Results showed that the optimum condition of AaCel9A activity reaches at pH 6.35 and 64.5 ˚C as well as 4.92 mM of calcium. Finally, the high correlation between experimental and predicted date indicated that the proposed model for optimizing the enzyme activity has a high accuracy.

Abstract

Greek historians such as Herodotus consider the beginning of Satrapies, the dependent governments within Achaemenian territory, as early as the time of Darius the first, while the word “Satrap” was prevalent in the time of Cyrus and Cambyses. Therefore, if we consider the beginning of Achaemenian empire in 559 BC, the year that Cyrus the second came to power, and its ending in 332 BC, the year that Iran was conquered by Alexander the Macedonian, in these 227 years of military and political development of Achaemenian empire, some of the nations and countries within Achaemenian territory came under Iranian military, economic and political power which known as Achaemenian settled Satrapies. According to reported Archeological findings in Egypt, Iran and other subordinate countries, the number of these satrapies was different at different times of Achaemenian empire. For example, the number of these Satrapies regarding Bistoon and Persepolis inscriptions is 23, while considering inscription on Darius tomb in Necropolis the number of Satrapies is 30 and regarding Darius inscription found in Susa it is 27. In the event that considering Egyptian written evidences at Achaemenian time such as Darius statue and memorial stone of Suez Canal, the number of satrapies was 24. By these findings, we can discover the location of these satrapies and determine their geographical area. The study based on historcal texts and new archaeological findings during the emergence of the ruling of the Achaemenid Empire in Anatolian land Satrapi, it is proven that 7 Satrapies existed in this area, includeing: Satrapi Lady or Sard North West Turkey, Satrapi Kylykyh in South West Turkey, Satrapi Ionie North West, Satrapi carie the West Anatolia, Satrapi Frygyh Hlspvnt the centrality Daskylyvn North West Asia Minor, Satrapi Skudrien (Makedonien) North West, and Cappadocia in East Anatolian.

Abstract

The concept of poetry and its nature has long been the attention of poets and Critics. In contemporary times, especially after the emergence of poetry, the concept of poetry faced more challenges. because this concept is tied with other concepts such as innovation, tradition, and commitment. and many poets and researchers in Iran and the Arab world studied this concept. In this regard two theorists, , Adunis and Dariush Ashuri Have valuable ideas in this field. The present study want to explain the concept of poetry from the viewpoint of these two theorists. It relies on the two books "Zaman elshear" and "poetry and thought". The resualts of this research indicate that the concept of poetry in the viewpoint of these two thinker is very close to philosophy, and the philosophical approach has led to the meaning of meaning in this field. in such a way that the semantic and aesthetic aspects of poetry are strengthened against pure realistic aspects. in this way both thoughts have emphasized the existence of a poem as a factor of its richness.

Abstract

With regard to the essential role and function of topos / place (in comparison with time) in the thinking, acting and speaking of the ancient individuals, it is possible to analyze the inscribed speeches of ancient Persian kings according to their conceptions of topos or place. For reaching to this aim Darius' inscriptions in Behistun (DB) will be chosen and they will be analyzed within an appropriate heuristically Aristotle framework.
